Reach Befriending supports elderly and isolated people, showing love and care and reminding them they are not forgotten. Reach Children and Families offers support and training to parents helping them and their children to get the best out of life.

We are excited that, after originally launching in the Bolton area, we are now expanding into the Bury area with the same vision of making a real difference.

What we do:

One to One Befriending: Matching volunteers with lonely and isolated elderly neighbours with a weekly visit

Pastoral project: Extra support and visits for those over 80 or severely isolated

We have supported many families across Bolton and as our journey has grown, so has our focus. Reach Children and Families now centres on supporting families raising children with additional needs. Our services include:

LISTENING EAR: A safe, understanding space where parents can talk openly about the realities of SEND life, without judgement, without pressure, and without having to explain everything.

SEND DROP-IN (PEER SUPPORT GROUP): A warm, welcoming space where families can connect with others who truly understand. A place to share experiences, exchange advice, and build friendships that reduce isolation.

PRACTICAL SIGNPOSTING: Clear, compassionate guidance towards local services, resources and community support, helping families feel more informed and less overwhelmed.

Everything we offer is built around one simple aim, that no parent raising a child with additional needs feels alone.
